One thing I don't like

Right now Alabama tops the BCS rankings followed by Texas Tech, Texas, and Florida respectively. If the situation creates itself and Texas Tech and Texas somehow lose again while Florida and Alabama win out in the regular season, the #1 and #2 teams at the end of the regular season won't play each other.

The way I understand it IF that were the case then Florida would play Alabama in the SEC Championship. Someone has to lose that game thus dropping one of the teams. The only way I could see it playing out is Alabama loses to a #2 Florida and SOMEHOW ends up #2 behind Florida.

Anyways, what I don't like is that some teams are being penalized for playing in their conference championship.

Playoff anyone?

Texas Tech plays Oklahoma in two weeks...if OU wins, you've already got a mess because you'd have Texas Tech, Texas and Oklahoma in a three way tie in the Big 12 South Division. The team with the highest BCS ranking would go to the Big 12 Championship Game to play Missouri, leaving two of them out of the cold there.

Even worse, if a good Missouri team upsets whoever wins the tiebreaker in the Big 12 title game, you'll have mass hysteria. You could see the situation you're talking about play out that creates an instant rematch between Florida and Alabama. More likely, you'll have a team that didn't win its own division in the Big 12 playing for the National Championship. The only way to avoid a train wreck at this point is if Texas Tech wins out.
